Play your own moves. Treat the person across the board with respect. These rules apply equally to free and Plus accounts.

During human games

Do not use chess engines, opening databases, another person’s advice or automated move tools. Do not intentionally manipulate ratings, arrange false results, exploit bugs or use multiple accounts to evade restrictions. ChessReign’s analysis tools are unavailable during your active online games.

Names and conduct

Use a respectful display name. Threats, hate, harassment, sexual content, impersonation and disclosure of someone else’s private information are not allowed. ChessReign currently has no public chat or direct messaging.

Report and block

Open the game page and choose Report or block opponent. You can block without making a report. Blocking prevents future matchmaking and friend-game pairing between the accounts; it does not interrupt an ongoing game. Report serious concerns to [email protected] with a game link.

How reports are handled

We review reports and relevant game records. A report alone does not prove misconduct. Depending on the evidence, actions may include a display-name change, warning, rating correction, restriction or account suspension. We do not promise that every instance of outside assistance can be detected.
